Talked the little darling into modeling after my studio “renovation”, which has gone well, apart from pulling a muscle or twinging a nerve in my lower back. Hobble. Hobble. Hobble.
So, it’s been six months at 111 W. Vine and I hate to think of the $$$ spent in lighting, backdrops and props I thought would be necessary; only to return it or resell it because the most beautiful lighting source is available from the sky, and large reflector sheets to bounce it. Flash is necessary at times, but for me, flash on the skin always leaves me a little bit cold. It’s as though the split second blast of light renders an image a little bit staged and sterile, with blue tones. It and takes away the warmth of the moment ‘moment’.
